Welcome to Our College

Pranabananda Women’s College, Dimapur was the first exclusive women’s college in Nagaland, established in the year 1991 under the aegis of Bharat Sevashram Sangha, a reputed Global Philanthropic Organisation, and a host of other reputed senior citizens of Dimapur with Late Manik Bhattacharjee as Chief Organiser and Founder Secretary. Initially, the college was affiliated to the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU). However, with the establishment of Nagaland University (NU), the college came to be recognised and permanently affiliated to the said University under NU/AC/GEN-1/97-1715 (Dated 2nd September, 2004). The college is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) and 12(b) of the UGC Act 1956. Recently, it has also been accredited with Grade ‘B’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
